Boralex recognized by the Chambre de Commerce et

d'Industrie Française au Canada for its achievements in France

Blendecques, France, April 18, 2019 - The Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie Française au Canada last Thursday presented the award for Canadian achievement in France, in the "Large Corporation" category, to Boralex Inc. ("Boralex" or the "Corporation") (TSX: BLX) at a gala event in Montréal, Québec attended by more than 200 people.

Patrick Lemaire, President and CEO of Boralex, saluted all employees, and particularly the team in France. "They're passionate and dedicated, and without them Boralex would not be here today. I want to express my very sincere thanks to them." He also recognized Patrick Decostre, Vice-President and General Manager, Boralex Europe, the Corporation's first employee in France who will become Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer on April 29, 2019.

Since first arriving in France in 1998, Boralex has enjoyed growing success. Through its expertise in renewables and commitment to energy transition, in less than 20 years Boralex has established itself as France's leading producer of onshore wind energy. With more than €1.3 billion already invested in developments in the country's rural areas, Boralex currently operates 941 MW in wind, solar and thermal power in France and has 181 employees across 11 branches located in proximity to its operating assets. In all, Boralex has increased its workforce in France by over 45% compared with 2016 and plans to continue hiring in 2019.

This first award ceremony organized by the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie Française au Canada was also attended by Kareen Rispal, France's Ambassador to Canada and Isabelle Hudon LL.D, Canada's Ambassador to France.
