Bouygues SA Announces Senior Executive Appointments

The Bouygues SA Board of Directors at its meeting of 17 February 2021 decided, on a proposal from Martin Bouygues and after consulting the Selection and Remuneration Committee, to change the Group’s governance and make a number of senior executive appointments. Martin Bouygues will be the Chairman of the Bouygues group. As such, he will continue to chair Board meetings, attend meetings relating to Group strategy and represent Bouygues in its relations with public authorities, major customers and partners. He will also carry out specific duties assigned to him by the Board. Two new Deputy CEOs have been appointed to assist him in his duties: Edward Bouygues, Director of Strategy at Bouygues Telecom, joins Bouygues SA with responsibility for telecoms development, CSR and innovation for the Group. He will also be appointed Chairman of Bouygues Europe, the Brussels-based entity which represents Bouygues’ interests within the European Union. Alongside his functions at Bouygues SA, Edward Bouygues will devote part of his time to Bouygues Telecom where he will hold the position of Executive Vice-President with responsibility for development. Pascal Grangé, 59, Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer since 1 October 2019 and a member of the Group Management Committee, is appointed Deputy CEO. He will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer of the Bouygues group.
Bouygues SA is a diverse group organized around four sectors of activity:
- construction (48.8% of net sales): construction and maintenance of transportation, leisure, and urban development infrastructures (58.4% of net sales; Colas; No. 1 worldwide for roads), building and public works activities concerning networks, electrical and thermal engineering, and facility maintenance (35.2%; Bouygues Construction), and real estate development (6.4%; Bouygues Immobilier);
- telecommunication (13.7%; Bouygues Telecom): mobile telephony, fixed telephony, Internet access, etc.;
- media (4%; TF1);
- other (33.5%; Equans): a company acquired in October 2022.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: France (49.6%), European Union (14.6%), Europe (14.8%), North America (12.8%), Asia-Pacific (4.6%), Africa (2.2%) %), Central and South America (1%) and Middle East (0.4%).
