The U.K.'s Competition and Markets Authority said Friday that it is looking at whether Bouygues SA's anticipated deal for Equans SAS may result in a substantial lessening of competition.
The CMA has a deadline of July 19 for its Phase 1 decision, it said.
The CMA said it is inviting comments on the transaction from any interested party.
