1356 GMT - BP PLC is among the most mentioned companies across news items over the past six hours, according to Factiva data after the oil giant said that it has partnered with Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. to take NewMed Energy LP private. BP and Adnoc are buying the free float and some shares owned by Delek Group Ltd. to bring their shareholding to 50% of NewMed. They then plan to create a new international gas development joint venture company and explore other options to expand the partnership. "This proposed transaction is consistent with BP's stated strategy and financial frame including current guidance for capital expenditure," BP said. BP shares are up 2% at 506.20 pence.
