EQT Infrastructure II Fund managed by EQT Partners AB entered into binding agreement to acquire CHEP Aerospace Solutions (Schweiz) AG from Brambles Limited (ASX:BXB) for $125 million on November 2, 2016. The existing CHEP Aerospace Solutions leadership team remains in place. CHEP Aerospace will retain its headquarters in Switzerland, along with regional operations centers in the United Kingdom, Thailand and the USA and global service centers in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and the Americas. The transaction is expected to close in November 2016. Cash proceeds from the transaction will be used to reduce outstanding debt. The divestment of CHEP Aerospace Solutions has no impact on Brambles’ financial year ended 2017. Sergio Ronga, Jasper Kienhuis, Tanguy Francois and Joakim Lambotte of DC Advisory acted as financial advisors for EQT Partners. Bär & Karrer AG acted as Swiss legal adviser to EQT Partners AB in the transaction.
