Braskem and Insul, a company specialized in fences and wire meshed fences, made a market announcement of the first spacer for TRAMAFÁCIL fences in Brazil, made from thermoplastic resin. The product, completely made in polypropylene (PP), is used to keep fence wiring with the correct spacing, preventing animals passing through, and its key differential is an exclusive fitting system, for ease of installation. The solution is patented for exclusive marketing by Insul.

According to CEPEA [Centro de Estudos Avançados em Economia Aplicada (Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics)] (Esalq [Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz (Luiz de Queiroz School of Agriculture/USP [University of São Paulo]), even with the pandemic, agribusiness had a record growth of 24.31% in 2020, representing almost 26.6% share in GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and creating thousands of jobs in the country. 'Considering the relevance of agribusiness, Braskem constantly invests in solutions and technologies to support the progress of agricultural activities. It is rewarding to seal partnerships that challenge us to develop innovative projects, linked to various benefits to the sector and the environment', explains Ana Paiva, in charge of the Braskem Agro Platform.

The fence spacer in polypropylene offers two main facilitators: due to the exclusive fitting system and wire locks, no specialized labor is needed, and it drastically cuts installation times, besides making period maintenance much simpler. In addition, it is more resistant to the elements, increasing durability and avoiding rust and rotting; it is lighter compared to other materials, which makes transportation easier; it has a bigger visual barrier, preventing cattle and other animals from trespassing on the area, protecting pasture, while being compatible with electric fences, since it is made from thermoplastic resins.

According to Guilherme Ache, Executive Director at Insul, 'We have always focused on seeking innovative solutions for the fence and wire meshed fence segment, and we have realized from travels to other countries that there is a lot of technology abroad that can be exploited in Brazil. We see a great deal of space for innovation in this and so many other areas of agribusiness'.
The new solution will reach the market in May and may be purchased on the internet, through Insul e-commerce: www.casadascercas.com.br . In the future, the product will also be available at the brand's resellers.
