Bravida has been commissioned by the City of Stockholm to carry out the technical installation work on the new bus terminal that is being built as part of the redevelopment of the Slussen area.

Every day, around 400,000 people travel by public transport to or via Slussen. This makes Slussen Sweden's second-largest public-transport hub after T-Centralen. The new Slussen will be adapted to take account of reduced car traffic, with fewer car lanes than at present. More space will be allocated to public transport, as well as pedestrians and cyclists, with new, more attractive quayside routes.

The Slussen project is an important part of Stockholm's future and an investment in social sustainability to ensure Stockholm remains a beautiful, safe and vibrant city for all residents. Lars Täuber, Head of Division Stockholm at Bravida, commented:

"We're delighted to have been entrusted with this project, which will affect so many people for decades to come. I'm proud of our talented employees, who work with complex installations on a daily basis, and I'm sure that, in concert with the other parties involved, we'll do a great job on this project too."

The project, known as Contract SN92 Bus Terminal Installations, is a construction contract starting in October 2021, with completion planned for autumn 2023.
