13/10/2021 14h06 BRF INSTITUTE SELECTS PROJECTS FROM NINE STATES TO RECEIVE RESOURCES FROM THE NOSSA PARTE PELO TODO (OUR PART FOR THE WHOLE) FUND

The initiative has a total of BRL 1.8 million in investments to support projects focused on reducing the effects of Covid-19 on communities

The BRF Institute, a private association that strategically directs the Company's social investments, completed the third round of selection of the Our Part For The Whole Fund Public Notice. In total, more than 370 entries were received, of which 50 initiatives were selected, totaling BRL 1.8 million in investments in different fronts focused on the Generation of Work and Income, Health and Emergency Actions, Food Safety and Social Protection. Launched in December 2020, the Fund was created with the objective of selecting and investing resources in initiatives that contribute to reducing the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in the communities where the company is present.

Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), City Halls, State Governments, and hospitals participated in the public notice with proposals that contemplated free care through the SUS network. At this stage, projects were chosen in the states of Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo.

Among those selected are projects such as "All of them - Women that Transform Talents into Business" from Goiás; "Qualification of Pulmonary Rehabilitation Actions in Post-Covid Syndrome", from Mato Grosso do Sul; "Well-Being at Home", from Paraná; "Healthy Food in the Palm of the Hand", from Pernambuco and "Food Safety & Protection against Covid-19", from São Paulo.

"Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have focused our efforts on support actions in the communities where BRF is present. Our commitment is to reduce the effects caused by Covid-19 in these places and increase the resilience of those living in vulnerable situations.", comments Bárbara Azevedo, manager of the BRF Institute.
