BRT BRN 201707050020A Trading statement Brimstone Investment Corporation Limited (Registration number 1995/010442/06) (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) ISIN Number: ZAE000015277 Share Code: BRT ISIN Number: ZAE000015285 Share Code: BRN (ôBrimstoneö or the ôCompanyö) Trading statement In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the financial results for the current reporting period will be more than 20% different than that of the comparative period. Further to the above, Brimstone expects to report a basic loss per share and basic headline loss per share for the six months ended 30 June 2017, which represents a decrease of more than 100% compared to the six months ended 30 June 2016 (ôcomparative periodö). The decrease is primarily as a result of downward fair value adjustments to investments. Basic earnings per share of 12.2 cents and basic headline earnings per share of 11.5 cents were reported in the comparative period. Once the Company has clarity on the actual range of the decrease, a further trading statement will be released on SENS.
