THE Broncos have harnessed Joe Malone's 30 years of experience as an artist and in crafting Aboriginal artefacts into their 2017 Indigenous jersey they will wear this Friday against the Storm.

The Broncos will wear the strip at Suncorp Stadium against Melbourne as they celebrate the club's Deadly Choices round.

The Broncos have a long-standing partnership with the Institute of Urban Health that deliver the Deadly Choices Indigenous health program.

Malone has been following his passion for over three decades, so was the perfect choice to design this special Broncos jersey.

Malone, who has been involved with grassroots Indigenous rugby league for the past 30 years with the Brisbane Natives RLFC and works as a Community Liaison Officer with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane, said the design told intertwining stories.

The jersey design came directly from his artwork called 'My Team, My Community'.

'This painting depicts a few stories from both the Broncos and Deadly Choices,' explained Malone.

The jersey is available for purchase through the Broncos Superstore here.
