--British American Tobacco PLC has been asked by GQG Partners, one of its major shareholders, to move its primary listing to New York, the Financial Times reports, citing Rajiv Jain, founder of the U.S. investment firm.

--Mr. Rain said it makes "no sense" for the cigarette maker to remain listed in the U.K. given that its core ownership base has disappeared and due to its U.S.-centric nature, according to the FT.
