BUA Cement Plc reported earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2022. For the first quarter, the company reported sales was NGN 96,988.39 million compared to NGN 61,192.88 million a year ago. Net income was NGN 33,142.34 million compared to NGN 22,366.62 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was NGN 0.98 compared to NGN 0.66 a year ago.

BUA Cement (Sokoto) is primarily engaged in the business of quarrying, extracting, processing, and dealing in limestone, as well as the manufacture and supply of cement. The cement plant is in Sokoto state, Nigeria. Its depots are in Lagos, Abuja, Ilorin, Ibadan and Sagamu. It operates the cement industry in Northwest, Southeast and South Nigeria with a production capacity of approximately 11 million metric tons per annum and plants in Sokoto and Edo State, Nigeria.
