Burkhalter Group buys Fliri & Conrad Electro SA in Val Müstair
As of 2 July 2018, the Burkhalter Group will acquire Fliri & Conrad Electro SA, which has its registered office in Santa Maria in the Swiss canton of Grisons. The newly acquired company, which is located in the Val Müstair area of Grisons, will serve to strengthen another of the Group's companies, Electra Buin SA in Scuol, also in Grisons.

With eight employees, Fliri & Conrad Electro SA has annual sales of around CHF 1.1 million. The company mainly provides traditional electrical engineering services and has been running a successful operation in Val Müstair since 1990. A decisive factor in purchasing the company is its proximity to Electra Buin SA in Scuol, giving customers in Lower Engadine and Val Müstair a choice between two locations. Fliri & Conrad Electro SA will be keeping its name and will be headed by the Managing Director of Electra Buin SA Urs Domenig. The company's previous owners Alfred Fliri and Chasper Conrad will continue to play an active part in the company in their new roles as Branch Manager and Project Manager.
More acquisitions are planned
Since the IPO in June 2008, the Burkhalter Group has continuously expanded its national network in Switzerland. Fliri & Conrad Electro SA is the Group's 20th acquisition. It will remain part of the Burkhalter Group's strategy in future to grow through selectively acquiring other electrical engineering services. However, as acquisitions are only made selectively and at fair prices, it is difficult to say in advance when the next acquisition will take place.
