Award-Winning Actor & Singer, Taye Diggs, Joins AdoptAClassroom.org & Burlington Stores to Surprise His Alma Mater with an over $75,000 Donation Taye's surprise launches Burlington's 5th annual in-storefundraising

campaign for AdoptAClassroom.org

What: AdoptAClassroom.org, the national non-profit that helps PreK-12 teachers and their students get the materials they need to learn and achieve in the classroom, and Burlington Stores, the national retailer delivering amazing deals to customers every time they shop, are partnering for the fifth consecutive year to support high-needPreK-12 teachers nationwide by raising funds at Burlington's more than 780 stores now through August 9.

To celebrate this year's partnership, they are joined by actor and singer, Taye Diggs, to surprise the teachers from his middle and high school alma mater, School of the Arts in Rochester, NY with a more than $75,000 AdoptAClassroom.org grant during a surprise virtual presentation. This school adoption will provide every teacher in the school with $750* in funds to ensure their classrooms are prepared for the school year ahead.

*Teachers spend on average $750 of their own money each year on supplies for their classrooms and students.

Now through August 9th, Burlington customers are encouraged to donate $1 or more at checkout to support AdoptAClassroom.org. Funds collected will help to offset the money teachers spend out of pocket on school supplies for their classrooms each school year.
