The China Securities Regulatory Commission has asked BYD Company Limited provide more information regarding its plan to spin off its semiconductor subsidiary. The securities watchdog in a notice on July 7, 2022 said BYD should disclose whether BYD Semiconductor meets all requirements to go public and whether the plan would have a significant impact on the Chinese car and battery maker s future performance.
