Caleres, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended July 31, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was USD 738.33 million compared to USD 675.53 million a year ago. Net income was USD 51.18 million compared to USD 37.4 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.4 compared to USD 0.98 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.38 compared to USD 0.97 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was USD 1,473.45 million compared to USD 1,314.17 million a year ago. Net income was USD 101.69 million compared to USD 43.54 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.74 compared to USD 1.14 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.7 compared to USD 1.13 a year ago.

The Famous Footwear segment operates over 860 stores selling primarily branded footwear for the entire family. The Brand Portfolio segment includes its wholesale operations that designs, develops, sources, manufactures, markets and distributes branded, licensed and private-label footwear primarily to online retailers, national chains, department stores, independent retailers and mass merchandisers, as well as Company-owned Famous Footwear, Sam Edelman, Naturalizer and Allen Edmonds stores and e-commerce businesses, including naturalizer.com, naturalizer.ca, naturalizer.co.uk and others.
