           Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain
           Officers.

On September 28, 2022, the Board of Directors (the "Board") of California Water Service Group (the "Company") appointed Martin A. Kropelnicki, the Company's current President, Chief Executive Officer and a director, to serve as Chairman of the Board, effective at the conclusion of the Company's 2023 Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the "2023 Annual Meeting"). Mr. Kropelnicki will succeed Peter C. Nelson, who, in accordance with the Board's retirement age policy, will be retiring as a director at the 2023 Annual Meeting. The independent directors have selected Terry P. Bayer, who currently serves as a member of the Board, to serve as Lead Independent Director, effective immediately.
