We hope you're having a great start to the new year! It's already a busy week for Callaway on TOUR, with 11 new Rogue ST Drivers in the field at Kapalua for players like Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, and Phil Mickelson. Plus we're welcoming Abraham Ancer and Yuka Saso to our Staff, and Kevin Na has a new Callaway Ball in the bag. Here's a look at our top stories right now.

Rogue ST: The #1 Driver At Kapalua

The new Rogue ST Driver Family, officially announced on Tuesday, is off to a great start in its first week on TOUR, in fact it's the #1 Driver at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. There are 11 Rogue ST Drivers in play at Kapalua, where there are only 38 total players in the field. World Number One Jon Rahm (Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS), Xander Schauffele (Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS), and Phil Mickelson (image above) are among the players who have a new driver in the bag.

During our Rogue launch event from Hawaii on Tuesday, Rahm said that there are certain numbers for launch (10-12 degrees) and spin (2200-2500 rpm) that he wants to see. He can usually tell right away if it's right for him and if he can hit the shots he wants, which the Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS did for him.

Also during the launch event, Xander said that "after 1 or 2 swings" with the Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS he knew that the forgiveness and accuracy were good for him. Abraham Ancer, Talor Gooch (#1 in the FedExCup), and Kevin Kisner will all be using a Rogue ST in Hawaii too.

Ancer Joins Callaway Tour Staff

On Tuesday, Callaway officially announced Abraham Ancer as a new Staff Professional. He will play Callaway Woods, an Odyssey Putter, and will wear a Callaway hat in competition starting this week.

Abraham has been one of the top players in the world over the past several years. In 2021, he earned his first PGA TOUR win at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational and finished 9th in the FedEx Cup Standings, all while using a Callaway Epic Speed Driver and an Odyssey Putter.

"I'm excited to officially join Callaway, and after playing their equipment over the past several years, I feel really confident about making the switch," Ancer said. "The performance from their drivers is always impressive, their putters are outstanding, and I've developed a strong relationship with their Tour Team. This is a great fit for me, and I can't wait to get this new year started."

Yuka Saso Joins Callaway Tour Staff

On Tuesday, Yuka Saso officially joined Callaway's Staff Professional Team. Saso won the 2021 U.S. Women's Open, capturing the major championship in a thrilling playoff finish. Now at just 20 years old, she has already won 3 events since turning professional in 2019 and is currently 8th in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings. Yuka will make her Callaway debut later this month at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions on the LPGA Tour, and she's featured in our new Rogue ST and Chrome Soft commercials.

"I'm so happy to join Callaway, and to work with their outstanding Tour Team as I start the next phase of my career with their equipment," Saso said. "From their drivers to their golf balls, the performance really stands out to me in testing and out on the course. I feel confident that this is the best setup for my game, and I'm looking forward to a great year."

Na Makes Big Golf Ball Switch

Kevin Na is switching to a Callaway Golf Ball, and this week he is playing a Chrome Soft X Prototype Ball at Kapalua. Na explained why he's putting the ball in play during an interview with Amanda Balionis on Tuesday.

Our Chrome Soft Golf Ball Family is coming off a spectacular year in 2021, highlighted by victories for Jon Rahm (U.S. Open), Phil Mickelson (PGA Championship), Xander Schauffele (Men's Gold Medal), and Annika Sorenstam (U.S. Women's Open). And we officially announced our new Chrome Soft Golf Ball lineup on Tuesday, featuring new Precision Technology that enhances every component, process and measure.
Precision Technology creates proprietary precision design techniques and manufacturing specifications up to 1/1000th of an inch for our fastest speeds, tightest dispersion, and unparalleled performance.

New Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K: Already A TOUR Winner

On Tuesday, we officially announced new Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K Putters. Tri-Hot 5K won in its very first week on TOUR at the RSM Classic (the final PGA TOUR event in 2021), where Talor Gooch took home the victory. Abraham Ancer is also using a Tri-Hot 5K this week.

Odyssey created this line to deliver a blade putter construction that outperforms a mallet, in a classic shape. We've moved the CG positioning forward while stainless steel, tungsten, and 6061 aircraft grade aluminum have been meticulously crafted in the design.

Using massive amounts of tungsten, our team developed an inertia level exceeding 5000 IZZ for incredible forgiveness that's unmatched in the blade category, all while moving the CG closer to the face. This combination promotes improved performance in speed control, spin control, speed consistency on off-center hits and a much tighter downrange dispersion that limits off-target spin.
