A conductor for Canadian National was killed Monday in British Columbia, the second to die in the province this month, Teamsters Canada said Tuesday.

The union said the man, who was in his 30s, was killed working near a Prince Rupert rail yard. He started working for Canadian National in 2018, the union said.

The union said that the man who was killed Monday, along with the other CN conductor killed in the province this month, had been doing "switching operations." Those operations can be anything from storing cars to making up trains, the union said.

Canadian National didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
