CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (CNQ) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $1.26 billion, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had net income of $1.06 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $1.01 per share.

The oil and natural gas company posted revenue of $5.8 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $5.31 billion.

Canadian Natural Resources shares have increased 34% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 77% in the last 12 months.
