Canadian Pacific Railway said Monday it will reopen rail service midday Tuesday between Vancouver and Kamloops, British Columbia after heavy rain, flooding and mudslides last week cut off rail links to Vancouver's port.

Canadian Pacific said the damage affected 30 locations on its network and caused significant loss of infrastructure in some areas. The railway said the repairs involved hundreds of employees and contractors who moved the equivalent of 30,000 one-ton dump truck loads of earth, construction materials and equipment to rebuild the damaged areas.
