Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended October 02, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was CAD 3,617.5 million compared to CAD 3,695 million a year ago. Net income was CAD 243.7 million compared to CAD 296.3 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CAD 4.01 compared to CAD 4.87 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was CAD 3.97 compared to CAD 4.84 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was CAD 10,285 million compared to CAD 9,069.1 million a year ago. Net income was CAD 619.1 million compared to CAD 263 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CAD 10.18 compared to CAD 4.32 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was CAD 10.08 compared to CAD 4.3 a year ago.
