Carbon Energy Limited (ASX: CNX) (Carbon Energy or Company) is pleased to provide the following updates.

South Africa update

As indicated in the Carbon Energy September 2018 Quarterly Report, the Company has been undertaking negotiations in relation to providing technical services and support for proposed UCG projects in South Africa. Carbon Energy is pleased to announce that it has been invited by the South African Department of Trade and Industry to attend investment meetings during November 2018 for the purposes of establishing a strategic partnership with a private South African corporation. Further details of the nature and terms of this strategic partnership will be announced in due course.

Share purchase plan

On 2 October 2018, Carbon Energy Limited (ASX: CNX) (Carbon Energy or Company) announced a share purchase plan (SPP) for eligible shareholders to raise up to circa $1.5 million.

Carbon Energy is pleased to extend the SPP offer by a further period and will now have a new SPP target closing date of 29 November 2018. This provides eligible shareholders with more time to consider the opportunity presented under the SPP offer.

Under the SPP, the Company invites eligible shareholders to participate by subscribing for up to $15,000 of Carbon Energy ordinary shares at $0.08 per share, without incurring any transaction or brokerage costs.

The right to participate in this SPP is available exclusively to eligible shareholders who are on the Company register at 7:00pm (Sydney time) on 1 October 2018 (Record Date) and having a registered address in Australia or New Zealand.

A summary of the revised SPP timetable is set out below:

Record Date	7.00pm (Sydney time) on Monday 1 October 2018
Closing Date	5.00pm (Sydney time) on Thursday 29 November 2018
Allotment Date	Friday 7 December 2018
Quotation Date	Monday 10 December 2018

This timetable is indicative only and may be subject to change and subject to the requirements of the Corporations Act and the ASX Listing Rules.

Any new shares which may be applied for by eligible shareholders and allotted by the Company under the SPP will not form part of the voting entitlements at the Company's Annual General Meeting due to be held on 30 November 2018.
