2020 brought a lot of change - some difficult, and some for good. Now, we're kicking off 2021 with some good for schools in our communities with a month-long giving campaign at Casey's.
Throughout January, when you visit Casey's, you can round-up your purchase to donate those extra cents to our Cash for Classrooms grant program. These grants will fund projects and initiatives at K-12 public and nonprofit, private schools.
From helping schools update classroom layouts and add safety measures due to COVID-19, to playground rebuilds or more materials, to community engagement opportunities, the Cash for Classrooms grant program will support schools in a variety of ways.
Every community we serve has a universal center - its local schools. And, Casey's has a long legacy of being there for teachers, students, parents and families.
For example, in 2019, Casey's shared news of its donation to the Carlisle School District and its new activity center. Carlisle, Iowa, is home to our 13th store, and it reflects the hometowns we are part of. We're glad we could help their new activity center have an even greater impact in the community!
Then, in spring 2020, we provided over $50,000 in school donations as part of our launch of Casey's Rewards. These dollars helped schools across our 16 states. And, we had some fun throwing some celebratory pizza parties too!
