Since the creation of CIS, catering has been the Group's core business. On the occasion of World Food Day, celebrated on October 16th, CIS was particularly committed to promoting and strengthening solidarity in the fight against hunger, malnutrition and poverty.

The CIS Group counts 13,000 employees worldwide and it is its responsibility as a global community to unite its teams around a common goal.

Thus, on a daily basis, and across its 19 operational countries, CIS implements numerous actions to fight against food waste and hunger: use of connected scales in restaurant kitchens to reduce food waste, donations of foodstuffs to numerous local associations, partnerships and help in building local agricultural cooperatives.

On this specific day, CIS Group subsidiaries in Mozambique, DRC, Burkina Faso, Brasil, Cameroun, Tchad, Russia and Algeria organized awareness sessions against food waste.

Others subsidiaries prepared competitions and plenary sessions on off-season crops for food self-sufficiency and global warming were organized.

In a more global way, CIS Group aims to transform its food systems to be more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly in an ongoing effort to satisfy its residents, customers, employees, and partners.
