CBRE Investment Management today announces that it has appointed three independent members to its Americas Direct Real Estate Investment Committee. The firm already has an established community of Independent Investment Committee Members, which it plans to further expand across its investment strategies.

The increased investment in independent insight is a key step in the firm's drive for excellence as it continues to expand its solutions and reach across the real assets investment universe.

In line with this, CBRE Investment Management has welcomed Pamela Boneham to its Americas Direct Real Estate Investment Committee. She joins fellow Independent Members, Lynn King-Tolliver and Vance Maddocks. As with all of the Independent Members across the firm's eight Investment Committees, Pamela, Lynn and Vance will provide an independent perspective to client capital investment decisions.

Chuck Leitner, CEO of CBRE Investment Management, said, "CBRE Investment Management has long championed the importance of diverse perspectives within each of our Investment Committees. As we continue our expansion across the real assets investment landscape, it is vital that this is supported by investment in seasoned and impartial expertise. We take our responsibility as stewards of our clients' capital extremely seriously, and by expanding our community of Independent Investment Committee Members, we aim not only to strengthen our governance, but to raise the bar across the industry as a whole."

Pamela Boneham has more than 35 years of U.S. institutional investment experience. In addition to her role with CBRE Investment Management, she serves as a Strategic Advisor to Ventas Investment Management and as an Investment Committee Member for City of Hope, a world-class cancer care hospital. Recently retired as Managing Director and Head of Capital Strategies for Barings, Boneham also served as the firm's Central Region Head for Real Estate Equity and was a member of its U.S. Equity Investment and Valuation Committees. Prior to this, Boneham held senior roles at DWS Group/RREEF, Equity Office Properties and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Lynn King-Tolliver was appointed to the Americas Direct Real Estate Investment Committee in 2021. With 25 years of institutional management experience, she is Managing Principal of Archere Investment Management (AIM), the private equity real estate investment platform she launched in 2017 to consult and advise emerging investment managers.

Vance Maddocks became an Independent Member of the Americas Investment Committee in January 2022 after serving most recently as non-executive Vice Chairman of CBRE Investment Management's Americas Real Estate Division and as an Executive Member of the Americas Direct Real Estate Investment Committee. Prior to that he was President of the Americas Real Estate Division. During his 37-year tenure within CBRE, Maddocks served as CEO and CIO for CBRE Investment Management's Americas Direct business and as global CEO.
