CBRE Investment Management ("CBRE IM") has appointed Madeleine Cosgrave and Laure Duhot as Independent Members to the EMEA Direct Real Estate Investment Committee and the UK Direct Real Estate Investment Committee, respectively.

The appointments form part of the company's continued expansion of the established community of Independent Investment Committee Members across its full investment strategies, and follows the recent addition of a number of Independent Members to the Americas Direct Real Estate Investment Committee announced earlier this year. The continued investment in independent insight supports the firm's drive for excellence as it further expands its solutions and reach across the real assets investment universe.

Madeleine has extensive experience in the property industry: she was Managing Director and Regional Head of Europe at GIC Real Estate from 2016 to 2021, where she was responsible for the real estate investment strategy and portfolio, led the real estate business in Europe, and was a voting member of the GIC Real Estate global investment committee. She is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and former chair of the INREV investor platform. In addition, Madeleine is an acting non-executive director for Landsec, one of the UK's leading real estate companies and has sat on a number of GIC Real Estate boards across Europe.

Laure brings with her 25 years of investment experience operating across property asset classes. She was a Managing Director at Lendlease, Grainger, Pradera and Sunrise Senior Living and a founding partner of MCP (now M3CP). In this time, she has closed circa £17 billion of transactions, raising and investing capital around the world. Laure also has 12 years' prior experience in private equity, investment banking, fixed income and corporate lending; she also has a track record as a business angel investor in the proptech sector. Her operating experience has focused on the living sector including affordable housing, PRS, senior living and student housing. Laure is also an acting non-executive director to several businesses including an LSE-listed debt fund, a healthcare and another specialist property REIT, both part of the FTSE250 index.

Chuck Leitner, CEO of CBRE Investment Management, said: "We are delighted to welcome both Laure and Madeleine to the business. They will provide valued inputs as we continue our expansion across the real assets marketplace. This investment in our growing community of Independent Investment Committee Members further cements our commitment to governance and driving better standards across the wider industry."
