Warsaw, October 20, 2022: Tobias Martinez, CEO of Cellnex Telecom, has visited Warsaw to officially open the new Cellnex Poland offices and meet with the the employees of the teams comprising of former PLAY infrastructure organization and of Polkomtel Infrastruktura. The company now occupies 4500 sqm in a newly built LIXA C building in Central Warsaw.

During the opening ceremony attended by Polish mobile network operators, telecommunications equipment suppliers, industry chambers, representatives of business and public sector, Cellnex Telecom has celebrated achievement of another milestone in the company development. Opening Cellnex Poland headquarters in Warsaw is yet another step in the process of consolidation of organizational culture and infrastructures planned for up to 3 years. The opening of Warsaw office will be followed by consolidation of the organizational structures throughout the whole Poland, including Poznań, Katowice and Trójmiasto, among others.

Cellnex acquired 60 percent of PLAY's telecommunications infrastructure in April 2021, which today constitutes OnTower Sp. z o.o. In June 2021 the company acquired 99,9 percent of Polkomtel Infrastruktura, part of Polsat Group, which is now part of TowerLink Poland Sp z o.o, managed by Cellnex Poland. Cellnex Poland team includes now almost 500 employees (i.e. 250 dedicated to design and management of the network roll-out and 220 maintaining network and operations). Cellnex, which currently owns 15 500 sites has invested over PLN 10 billion in Poland and has committed to invest another PLN 8.5 billion over the next 10 years.

I'm very proud of what Cellnex Poland team has achieved within 2 years from the time we started discussions with our Polish partners. We have since then developed theAugmented Tower modelaimed at supporting customers in developing, deploying, operating and maintaining infrastructure and assets adjacent to towers -including active equipment- which can be mutualised based on the neutral host model. We are much more than atowerco, rather something closer to a netco, which mean we can provide a wider range of services to our partners.- said Tobias Martinez Gimeno, CEO of Cellnex Telecom

Cellnex Poland really has the ambition to drive connectivity in a long-term perspective. Joining the teams having different corporate cultures - of Cellnex, Play and Polkomtel in one shared office is another step in its consolidation, which will help deliver the service of the highest quality to our clients. I believe, we are currently in the right place to expand our range of services, and the new office will also certainly help to attract the best talent and provide a springboard for further successful growth of Cellnex in Poland - said Santiago Argelich Hesse, GM of Cellnex Poland.
