Celsia S.A. E.S.P. put into operation a 10.6 megawatt (Mw) solar project of installed capacity at the Argos cement plant in Comayagua department, Honduras. The photovoltaic complex, consisting of 32,160 solar panels, will be able to meet 20% of the cement plant's electricity demand. With the solar asset, Cemento Argos should avoid about 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year. The Comayagua plant is the first Celsius photovoltaic plant in Honduras.
