Centerpoint Energy withdraws 2024 base rate case

Aug 1 (Reuters) - CenterPoint Energy on Thursday announced that the utility is withdrawing its 2024 base rate case, currently being reviewed by the Public Utility Commission of Texas.

"We are acting urgently to strengthen our resiliency, improve our communications and emergency coordination," CenterPoint President and CEO Jason Wells said in the statement. (Reporting by Anjana Anil in Bengaluru; Editing by Leslie Adler)
