EBR & EBR.B; LATIBEX: XELT.O & XELT.B) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general, in addition to the Market Announcement disclosed on April 27, 2021, which received Official Letter 166/2021/SE-MME informing that the Investment Partnership Program Council ("CPPI") approved Resolution 176, of April 27, 2021, sent by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, which aims to define the attribution of Eletrobras and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development - BNDES, in the capitalization process of Eletrobras, under the terms of law No. 9491, of September 9, 1997 and Provisional Measure No. 1031, of February 23, 2021.

According to the aforementioned resolution, Eletrobras will be responsible for issuing and offering the shares, after the conversion into law of Provisional Measure No. 1031.

BNDES is responsible for executing and monitoring the capitalization process until its closure, and should provide support to Eletrobras in whatever is necessary.

I inform you that the Investment Partnership Program Council ("CPPI") approved Resolution 176, of April 27, 2021, sent by this Ministry, which aims to define the attribution of Eletrobras and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development - BNDES, in the capitalization process of Eletrobras, pursuant to Law No. 9491, of September 9, 1997 and Provisional Measure No. 1031, of February 23, 2021.
