Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S/A ("Company" or "Eletrobras") (B3: ELET3, ELET5 & ELET6; NYSE: EBR & EBR.B; LATIBEX: XELT.O & XELT.B) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general, as a result of news published by the press, on this date, about the name of potential new executive for the Company's Presidency, that is not aware of any appointment of new directors and that called an Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders, to be held on August 5, 2022, for the election of new Board Members, after the privatization process.

The current term of office of the Company's directors, including the President, is effective until July 2023, and the eventual change of directors is the responsibility of the Board of Directors of Eletrobras.
