EBR & EBR.B; LATIBEX: XELT.O & XELT.B) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that 8 of the 10 (ten) new members of the Company's Board of Directors, elected by the 182nd Extraordinary General Meeting, took office on this date, with the exception of the elected candidates Carlos Augusto Leone Piani and Octavio Cortes Pereira Lopes, who will have a term of up to 30 days to take office, pursuant to the first paragraph of article 149 of Law 6,404/76.

The new Board of Directors, on this date, elected Mr. Ivan de Souza Monteiro as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Vicente Falconi Campos as his replacement.

In addition, the Board of Directors elected Mr. Wilson Ferreira Júnior, as the new CEO of the Company, authorizing his take office until September 20, 2022.

Mr. Rodrigo Limp Nascimento, who was accumulating the position of CEO and interim Officer of Regulation and Institutional Relations, was elected as Officer of Regulation and Institutional Relations and should take office until September 20, 2022, remaining in the Presidency until the new CEO elect takes office.

Finally, the Board of Directors elected the new members of the Strategy, Governance and Sustainability Committee ("CEGS") and the People, Eligibility, Succession and Remuneration Committee ("CPES") as follows:
