Xinhua Joint Publishing Co., Ltd. announced that it expects to receive funding from Jiangxi Xinhua Publishing Group Co., Ltd. on August 14, 2013.
On December 18, 2013, the company announced that the shareholder investment agreement has been signed with existing investors Jiangxi Xinhua Publishing Group Co., Ltd., China Publishing and Media Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Phoenix Publishing & Media Corporation Limited. The company will receive gross proceeds of CNY 5,378,400 in this equity round of funding. The investors will invest CNY 1,882,500, CNY 1,990,000, and CNY 1,505,900 in proportion to their holding stakes of 35%, 37%, and 28% respectively. The transaction has been approved by the 8th session of the 5th directorate meeting of Chinese Universe Publishing and Media Co., Ltd., the parent company of Jiangxi Xinhua Publishing Group Co., Ltd.
