(Alliance News) - CentralNic Group PLC on Monday said it booked record revenue in 2022, owing to its "outstanding business portfolio".

The London-based domain name registry and registrar services firm said it expects 2022 gross revenue of about USD728 million, up 77% from USD410.5 million in 2021, and ahead of recently upgraded market expectations.

CentralNic said 2022 adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation are expected to be USD85 million, up 84% from USD46.3 million a year ago.

The company added that it expects net revenue of USD177 million, an increase of 33% from USD118.5 million a year ago.

Year-on-year organic growth in 2022 was about 60%, CentralNic said, largely due to the growth of its online marketing division, as a result of increasing demand for its privacy-safe online customer acquisition services, it said.

Net debt was USD57 million at December 31, falling 30% from USD81 million a year ago.

Chief Executive Officer Michael Riedl commented: "CentralNic ended the year 2022 on a high note, with record revenue and profit in a challenging economic environment. This is a testament to the outstanding business portfolio we have built as a team.

"We will continue to exhibit discipline and efficiency as we accelerate product rollouts, launch strategic partnerships, and enhance scalability in the year ahead. As a result, we anticipate another year of robust growth and shareholder returns."

CentralNic shares were up 3.7% trading at 148.25 pence per share on Monday morning in London.
