GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. (AP) _ Century Communities Inc. (CCS) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $117.9 million.

On a per-share basis, the Greenwood Village, Colorado-based company said it had profit of $3.47.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.82 per share.

The single-family homebuilder posted revenue of $1.04 billion in the period.

Century Communities expects full-year revenue in the range of $3.8 billion to $4.1 billion.

Century Communities shares have climbed 43% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $62.43, an increase of 75% in the last 12 months.
