Century Enka Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was INR 5,619.3 million compared to INR 3,983.5 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 5,680.4 million compared to INR 4,046.5 million a year ago. Net income was INR 505.8 million compared to INR 324.7 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 23.15 compared to INR 14.86 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was INR 15,221.7 million compared to INR 7,762.5 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 15,412.5 million compared to INR 7,955.8 million a year ago. Net income was INR 1,345.1 million compared to INR 223.5 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 61.56 compared to INR 10.23 a year ago.
Century Enka Limited is engaged in the manufacturing and selling of synthetic yarn and related products. The Companyâs products include Nylon filament yarn, Mother yarn, Multifilament Yarns, Fully Drawn Yarn, Partially Oriented Yarn (POY), High Oriented Yarn, Drawn Textured Yarn, Air Textured Yarn, Draw Winder, Greige Fabric and Dipped Fabric. It offers nylon filament yarn, a long continuous lustrous fiber, which is used to produce a range of textile fabrics, such as sarees, draperies, furnishings and upholstery, sportswear, mosquito nets and also for embroidery. It provides quality nylon tire cord fabrics for reinforcement of tires, which are used in motorcycles, scooters, light commercial vehicles (LMVs), heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs) and off the road (OTR). It produces a range of nylon processed yarns for various application areas under the Enkalon brand. The Companyâs manufacturing sites are located at Pune (Maharashtra) and Rajashree Nagar (Bharuch-Gujarat).
