NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Cerner Corp. (CERN) on Friday reported third-quarter earnings of $175.8 million.

On a per-share basis, the North Kansas City, Missouri-based company said it had net income of 59 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 86 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 82 cents per share.

The health care information technology company posted revenue of $1.47 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.45 billion.

Cerner expects full-year earnings to be $3.30 per share.

Cerner shares have fallen 10% since the beginning of the year, while the S&P's 500 index has climbed 22%. The stock has climbed slightly in the last 12 months.
