CF Industries Holdings, Inc. reported production results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2019. For the quarter, the company produced ammonia of 2,336,000 tons against 2,456,000 tons a year ago. The company produced Granular urea of 1,206,000 tons against 1,296,000 tons a year ago. The company produced UAN of 1,584,000 tons against 1,595,000 tons a year ago. The company produced AN of 552,000 tons against 474,000 tons a year ago.
For the nine months, the company produced ammonia of 7,564,000 tons against 7,424,000 tons a year ago. The company produced Granular urea of 3,836,000 tons against 3,675,000 tons a year ago. The company produced UAN of 4,810,000 tons against 4,957,000 tons a year ago. The company produced AN of 1,585,000 tons against 1,355,000 tons a year ago.
The company expects gross ammonia production during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2019 to be higher than in the third quarter with less maintenance activity scheduled for the final three months of the year.
CF Industries Holdings, Inc. specializes in the manufacturing and the marketing of nitrate and phosphate fertilizers. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
