CGI announced it has been awarded a new task order by the Department of the Interior's(DOI) Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR) to develop a new, modern, innovative data management environment that will improve the collection and disbursement of federal and Indian royalties. Enhanced data management through the new Data Management Environment (DME) will enable ONRR to better coordinate its activities with other federal agencies to support the Department's management of oil, gas, and other natural resources. This task order includes a 36-month period of performance with initial funding of $3.3 million and a total task order value of $12.9 million inclusive of all options.

The cloud-based, platform-as-a-service DME serves as a foundational element of ONRR's efforts to modernize its IT systems. System users will benefit from self-service data access and user-generated reports; improved data quality, consistency, access and transparency; and reliability across the organization. CGI will use an integration of Amazon Web Services (AWS) native tools and Snowflake's platform-as-a-service solution to enable large-scale data ingestion, consolidation and dissemination.
