ANNOUNCEMENT ON OPERATING DATA FOR JUNE 2022

This overseas regulatory announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.09 and Rule 13.10B of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined under the Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (the "Company") and all members of the board of directors confirm that the information contained in this announcement is true, accurate and complete, and no misrepresentations, misleading statements or material omissions are contained herein.

I.	OPERATIONS

In June 2022, the number of COVID-19 cases in China showed a fluctuating downward trend as a whole, and the air passenger transportation market recovered. However, the pandemic is still ongoing around the world, and the Omicron sub-variant BA.5 is becoming the dominant strain of COVID-19 globally. China is still facing immense pressure for epidemic prevention and control of "guarding against imported cases and preventing a resurgence of domestic outbreak". The Company's passenger transportation capacity (measured by available seat-kilometres) decreased by 52.53% year-on-year, among which, the passenger transportation capacity of its domestic, international and regional routes decreased by 52.78%, 30.36% and 99.30% year-on-year, respectively; passenger traffic volume (measured by revenue passenger-kilometres) decreased by 58.24% year-on-year, among which, the passenger traffic volume of its domestic, international and regional routes decreased by 58.57%, 20.39% and 99.66% year-on-year, respectively; and passenger load factor decreased by 8.85 percentage points year-on-year to 64.78%, among which, the passenger load factor of its domestic and regional routes decreased by 9.12 and 32.80 percentage points year-on-year, respectively, while the passenger load factor of its international routes increased by 6.71 percentage points year-on-year.

In relation to freight transportation, the freight transportation business of the Company includes passenger aircraft cargo business under conventional circumstances (mainly passenger aircraft bellyhold space business) and passenger aircraft cargo business under unconventional circumstances (mainly "Passenger-to-Cargo Conversion" business), and such business is under exclusive operation by China Cargo Airlines Co., Ltd. In June 2022, freight traffic volume (measured by revenue freight tonne-kilometres) decreased by 30.15% year-on-year.

In June 2022, no new route was launched by the Company.

II.	FLEET STRUCTURE

In June 2022, no aircraft was introduced or retired by the Company. As of the end of June 2022, the Company operated a total of 750 aircraft, including 265 self-owned aircraft, 270 aircraft under finance lease and 215 aircraft under operating lease.
