THE CONTROLLING SHAREHOLDER OF THE COMPANY WAS RATED AS GRADE A ENTERPRISE FOR BUSINESS PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL OF PERSONS-IN-CHARGE FOR CENTRAL ENTERPRISES OF 2019

This announcement is made by China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (the "Company") on a voluntary basis.

The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") is pleased to announce that, recently, the State- owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (the "SASAC of the State Council") announced the results of the Business Performance Appraisal of Persons-in-Charge for Central Enterprises (中央企業負責人經營業績考核) of 2019. China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. ("Energy China Group"), the controlling shareholder of the Company, successfully completed various appraisal targets for the year, and was rated as Grade A enterprise for the business performance appraisal for the year 2019.

Since the Company is a major part of Energy China Group, the appraisal results also reflect the recognition of the Company's business performance by the SASAC of the State Council. In 2019, the Company's main operating indicators achieved steady growth, new breakthroughs were achieved in market development in strategic areas, industry status has been improved, and corporate cohesion was strengthened, demonstrating the responsibilities of a central enterprise with our practical actions.
