On September 17, Equatorial Guinean Ambassador to China German Ekua Sima Abaga visited the Beijing headquarters of CGGC International, warmly received by Lyu Zexiang, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of CGGC International. The parties had in-depth and friendly exchanges on infrastructure construction and cooperation in important projects in Equatorial Guinea.

Lyu Zexiang warmly welcomed the delegation and extended sincere gratitude to the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea for its support. He noted that CGGC is a core member enterprise of Energy China, an ultra-large central enterprise in China, with its businesses spreading over such fields as power, buildings, transportation and environmental protection. Equatorial Guinea is one of CGGC's key markets in Africa. To date, CGGC has successfully signed the contract for and implemented seven key livelihood projects since it made presence in the Equatorial Guinea in 2008, and is now proactively extending to projects in other fields. In the face of Covid-19, CGGC International has fulfilled its contractual obligations in a scientific and orderly manner, and proactively performed its social responsibilities. CGGC International hoped that the Embassy would provide assistance in accelerating the mobilization of personnel or other aspects to ensure smooth progress of various projects. As he further noted, CGGC International is full of confidence in its development in Equatorial Guinea and is willing to continuously strengthen the localized construction, and actively participate in the '2035 Vision Plan' of Equatorial Guinea in the future by taking the opportunity of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Equatorial Guinea, so as to realize Persified rolling development in Equatorial Guinea and level up the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. H.E. Ambassador noted that, with profound history and power strength, CGGC has undertaken and perfectly performed livelihood project in Equatorial Guinea, which has offered 200,000 people in capital Malabo clean and safe drinking water, receiving great praise from local people. The Equatorial Guinean government would like to extend its sincere gratitude to the assistance given by the Chinese government and CGGC International in the face of Covid-19. To date, Equatorial Guinea has formulated its '2035 Vision Plan' in a bid to vigorously develop its economy in health, education, services and other fields. Equatorial Guinea is willing to establish more extensive cooperation with CGGC in oil & gas, transportation and some other fields. CGGC International is invited to participate in a series of celebration activities organized by the governments and embassies of both countries in 2020 marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Equatorial Guinea. Among other attendees include Celestina Mange, Consul of Equatorial Guinea Embassy in China, CGGC International Vice General Manager Yuan Baoyi, and relevant principal of the Northwestern Africa Regional Headquarters of CGGC International.
