On June 22, Lyu Zexiang, General Manager of CGGC International, visited Mr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Beijing.

During the meeting, Lyu Zexiang introduced the global business layout, powerful financing and investment capabilities, and remarkable achievements made in the construction of the 'Belt and Road' of CGGC to the Vice President, and reported the performance status of Kaipeng Water Supply Expansion Project (Phase I) in Ghana. As the largest water supply project and an important livelihood project in Ghana, the Project has a daily water intake capacity of 196,000 tons, and can satisfy the water demands of over 2 million people in Akkra and surrounding areas. With excellent construction capacities and outstanding management level, CGGC achieved the water supply goal half a year in advance, and received highly praise from the local government, the Owner and Chinese organizations in Ghana. Lyu Zexiang noted that Northwest Africa is an important strategic market of CGGC, and Ghana possesses promising market prospects as a model for the development of Northwest Africa. He further noted that CGGC is willing to inherit and carry forward the friendly cooperation between both parties, give full play to the expertise and advantages in investment and financing, deeply participate in the infrastructure construction in Ghana, and make more achievements in friendly cooperation between China and Ghana.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia highly praised the powerful comprehensive strengths, full-scale businesses and the remarkable achievements made by CGGC in international businesses, and spoke highly of CGGC's well performance, superior quality and social-economic benefits in processing, completion and projects under construction. He noted that the Key Economic and Social Development Plan proposed by the new government of Ghana coincides well with the 'Belt and Road' Initiative and Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and that CGGC is expected to extensively participate in the economic construction and investment in Ghana to accelerate the economic transformation and industrialization of Ghana.
