BEIJING (AP) _ China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (SNP) on Wednesday reported net income of $2.77 billion in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Beijing-based company said it had net income of $2.28.

The energy and chemical company posted revenue of $88.99 billion in the period.

China Petro&Chm shares have increased 15% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen almost 6% in the last 12 months.
