In a testament to China's advancing rail technology, a massive cargo ship recently departed from Yingkou Port, carrying over 7,000 tons of cutting-edge railway rails destined for South Africa.
The shipment marks a significant export achievement for China's railway engineering sector, showcasing the nation's growing global industrial capabilities.
This rail export business was handled by a subsidiary of CRCC, with the rails set to be applied to the modernization and upgrade of existing railway lines in South Africa, representing a new breakthrough in the South African market. During this process, the company fully considered the client's requirements, established a joint task force with partner Ansteel Group, optimized production techniques, overcame technical challenges, and successfully mass-produced this batch of SAR48 special-type rails representing 'Chinese Standards' and 'Chinese Quality.'
The exported SAR48 rails represent a pinnacle of engineering innovation. Each 50-meter rail section, weighing 48 kilograms per meter, boasts exceptional durability and performance. The research and development team recalculated technical parameters such as cross-sectional and rail bottom angle based on technical standards, innovatively optimized hole-type processes multiple times, made targeted adjustments to production equipment and steel pouring conditions, and successfully resolved the twisting deformation of steel billets during experimental rolling.
