55 CREC Projects Win the National Quality Engineering Award

On December 7, China Association of Construction Enterprise Management announced the Decision on Commendation to Projects Winning the National Quality Engineering Award. Among the 55 award-winning projects of China Railway Group Limited (CREC), the newly-built Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway, including the Chongli Railway, and three other projects won gold award. The remaining 51, including the first phase of the No.1 line of Hohhot City's urban rail transit system, were also awarded.

Established in 1981, the National Quality Engineering Award is the earliest and the highest-level national quality award in the field of engineering construction. Approved by the State Council, the award is set to commend quality engineering projects covering multiple industries or professions, and the most excellent ones would win the gold award. As of this year, a total of 4,379 projects have won the honor, including 196 gold award winners. Among them, 480 projects, or 11 percent, are conducted by the CREC, including 37 winners of gold awards, making up 19 percent of all gold award winners.
