CHINA SHENHUA ENERGY COMPANY LIMITED By November 22, Baoshen Railway under China Energy had completed transport volume exceeding 270.14 million tonnes this year, making great contributions to guaranteeing stable, orderly energy supply for the upcoming winter peak season.
Since the beginning of November, the temperature has continued dropping in northern China. In this crucial period for heating supply in winter, Baoshen Railway makes every effort to facilitate coal transport for energy supply, with focus on planning, sources of coal, loading, connection, and junction stations. It strengthens on-spot loading operation management, promotes integrated organization of coal loading and transport, and gives full play to the integrated transport advantages of the "golden arteries"-the Baoshen south line and the Shenmu-Shuozhou railway. Through these measures, the company ensures its loading and transport capacities are made full use, maximally unleashing its transport potential. In addition, it keeps a close eye on the coal market to grasp the latest information about coal supply, optimizes thermal coal transport resource allocation, and adjusts transport strategies in a timely manner. Besides, it strives to acquire real-time information about coal storage, consumption and demand of power plants, responds to the changes in the sources of coal in a flexible manner, and maximally enhances its coal loading and transport capacities through comprehensive planning, extensive coordination and integrated operation. Moreover, efforts have been made to enhance winter repair and maintenance to ensure locomotives are in good condition and sufficient for service. The company takes advantages of window periods to improve winter repair and maintenance quality, in a bid to ensure high-quality equipment for paving the ground for accomplishing its tasks in energy transport and supply this year.
