China Sunshine Paper Holdings Company Limited provided earnings guidance for the six months ended 30 June 2022. The company expected that the profit attributable to the owners of the Company and its subsidiaries for the six months ended 30 June 2022 was expected to record a decrease of approximately 35% to 55% as compared with those for the corresponding period in 2021. The decline in the results of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2022 is mainly due to i) the increase in the prices of bulk materials such as waste paper, wood pulp and coal rose, which increased the purchasing cost of the company and led to the decrease of gross profit and gross profit margin; ii) the increase in transportation costs due to COVID-19, resulting in an increase in distribution and selling expenses of the company; and iii) the downturn of PRC real estate market and the regional outbreak of COVID-19, resulting in the loss of profit from the relevant loss of partnership.
