China's largest operator of duty-free stores said it is planning a stock market listing in Hong Kong.

China Tourism Group Duty Free Corp. said the proposed listing is still subject to approvals by the firm's shareholders and regulators in Hong Kong and mainland China, it said.

China Tourism Group Duty Free Corp. didn't say how much capital it is seeking to raise.

The listing could help it expand its offerings in the southern Chinese island of Hainan, a tourism hub that has become a fast-growing market for duty-free sales.
